Lauren has spent over 13 years as a public servant. She has experience in state, county, and city government, intent on building better relationships between our structures, programs, communities and clients. Her current position serves Alameda County foster youth and the families and neighbors who support their safety and growth.
Paul is one of the Co-Founders of Diaspora Collective. He has over a decade of experience working in the social sector in roles ranging from teacher and school leader to consultant and nonprofit executive. His favorite career highlight is work co-designing and launching three innovative new high schools for youth of color in the nation's largest school district, New York City.
Adrian combines his product, data science, digital, and manufacturing/logistics expertise to lead teams around an IIoT predictive analytics and artificial intelligence platform. He also advises and consults with various startups and companies across the country on enterprise level machine learning, data science, product development, operations, and client acquisition.
Fernanda Meier is the Director of Program Development at The Scholarship Academy. Previously, she was the K12 Director at the College Board, and the Director of Educational Partnerships for the SoutheastRegion at Kaplan K12. Fernanda has been a trainer, teacher and tutor for over 15 years.
Jignasha is an experienced designer who loves building equity-focused, culturally relevant, human-centered learning environments for students and adults. Jignasha is experienced at taking a concept idea and designing prototypes and implementing pilots to bring the idea to reality. She has leveraged design thinking to help design and launch new education programs with various organizations and currently works as a Program Manager with a focus on design with Pivot Learning in Oakland.
Hafeezah Abdullah is a bold advocate of progressive and social justice causes with more than a decade of experience successfully directing fundraising strategy and producing dynamic events for nonprofits and political campaigns. She currently resides in Oakland, CA, but has worked and lived in New York, London, Wisconsin, and Washington, DC. Hafeezah is a graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park.
Co-Founder Brandon Chaderton brings to Diaspora Collective a background in systems operations, finance, and fundraising. Brandon has worked as a Finance Director on red-to-blue congressional campaigns in the suburbs of Philadelphia, raising money for Democratic challengers. During the 2016 election, Brandon was a Deputy Operations Director with the Presidential campaign in Pennsylvania, handling human resourcing for a staff of 500 as well as assisting with campaign finance compliance for the state. He is a veteran of Josh Shapiro’s Attorney General campaign as well as the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He is a proud AmeriCorps and City Year alumnus. And he currently works for a leading Communications consulting firm in Washington, DC.
Ame Igharo built a 10-year career in forecasting, market research and analysis, and marketing in the consumer goods industry before turning her attention to social enterprises. She was an Environmental Defense Fund Fellow in 2014 and an Acumen Global Fellow in 2015-2016, and has since worked across North America and East Africa to lead strategic planning, customer discovery, M&A, product development, and B2B/B2C fundraising for technology and social impact clients. Ms. Igharo received her M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in 2017.
